As a graphic designer & full-stack developer at College, I transformed the company ideas into a social and interactive website; I worked as a front-end designer and back-end engineer in the company website. I was also in charge of creating & producing original content for printed media
Duties
These were my basic duties and responsabilities at this position.
- Work with outside data sources and APIs.
- Editing, writing, or designing Website content, and directing team members who produce content
- Design, build, or maintain Websites and WebApps
- Research, validate and implement new front-end frameworks, tools or services
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Develop new user-facing features
- Produce superior graphics and visual components.
- Direct or perform Websites and WebApps updates
- Create a wide range of graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites with image manipulation sofware
- Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within an established brand identity
- Develop concepts by hand or with software, and execute original content determining ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout
- Manage the design and uploading process of all project material, understanding best practices for using a content management system
- Use trend intelligence and an understanding of the current and historical business and market to design and execute specific classifications
Most relevant contributions or achivements
I personally led, collaborated or was directly responsible for:
- Design of Revista College, one of the first rich digital magazines in Uruguay
- Creation of Red College, a early stage basic social network
- Design, development and copywriting for the complete website
- Creation of College Radio, a "ahead of its time" audio streaming web platform
